- Implementation and population of a high-quality database of transcription 3’end sequences to support
Gene Logic’s proprietary READS technology
- Developing programs that use the database for quality control to help optimize laboratory procedures
- Development and integration of a system for automating the analysis of READS gel images: lane/band detection;
lane calibration (restriction fragment size); lane alignment; visual side-by-side comparison of arbitrary, user
selected lanes; identification of genes corresponding to user selected bands through lane comparisons and/or band
position predictions computed from database information, etc.
- Prediction of READS gel image patterns through DNA fragment size computation from mRNA 3'end sequence
database and expression level estimates.
